On the afternoon of 7th of May, led by the head of the Department of Industry and Information of Zhuhai City, mister Shen, and the key figures Department of New High Technology Innovation and Development and several more government officials visited Rcan medical.
The purpose of this visit is to ascertain the thoroughness of the execution of “YueGangAo Bay area development plans”, to apply the advantages brought by the industrial infrastructures of Zhuhai City, especially in the areas of bio-medicine, and healthcare industries; by selectively visiting Representative companies and listening to their needs and opinions in developing their respective industries.
Among the companies visited, chairman of Rcan Medicine, Song Wenchang, introduced the specialties of his company and its products: CT X-ray tube is the core component of any medical imaging CT machines, and a major expendable supply of CT machines. Currently these products are controlled by Euro-American monopoly, it belongs to a category of products that we are being choked by. It is also a key strategic product outlined in the “Made in China 2025”, debuted during the “Thirteenth’s five-years”, and “Fourteenth’s five-years” by the Chinese government. It constitutes the fundamental competitiveness of Chinese-made CT machines. Rcan Medicine was the first company to launch itself into this space in China, and the birthplace of the first Chinese-made CT X-ray tube. It also holds the many more honors such as the base of the National Touch industrialization project; being one among the Guangdong Province major research and development project: “High-end Medical Equipment Research and development” ; our CT X-ray tubes being listed by the Chinese Ministry of Technology as “Innovative Medical Equipment”, and among the first to be listed in “Emergency Medical Equipment for Pandemic Control and Treatments”; we stand among the first in China to be able to scale our production of CT X-ray tubes for high-quantity clinical uses, becoming the leading representative in the industry
During the meeting, Mr. Song Wenchang discussed the city’s policy in developing new industries with the city officials, especially on the implementation of a series of policies related to the development of technology companies with the expressed purpose of benefiting the companies, listening to their needs according to their circumstance, release and prefect new related policies. Mr. Song call for more attention on the shortcoming of Medical technologies, focus on key component technologies, and pay close mind to the risk within our national healthcare. He expresses his principal to single-mindedly focus on the building a company that do good work, improve our manufacturing industry, play out our value for the society, and make available better resources for the government in the area of industrialization of high-end medical equipment.
In the end, chairman Mr. Song proclaims: Rcan Medical, as one of the first unicorn companies in Zhuhai city, a leading player in the CT X-ray tube industry, will place its roots deep within Zhuhai, and cooperate closely with local government to develop the medical industry of Zhuhai, and push Zhuhai to become a leading in Guangdong Province and even the whole country within the industry.
